We are recruiting for a talented, detail oriented, and customer service focused Administrative Assistant based in Tukwila. The Administrative Assistant will play a critical role in supporting the Housing Choice Voucher Program. The ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment as well as being flexible and able to adjust to shifting priorities will be very important. Other keys to success in this role will include a strong leader with a positive attitude and exceptional communication and customer service skills.
The ideal candidate for this role will enjoy interacting with staff, landlords/owners, program participants, and many other internal and external stakeholders. They are proficient in the use of systems and tools to maintain organization. They are detail oriented and exceptional time managers, they know how to influence others and are resourceful and able to independently address and resolve issues as they arise. Qualifications and Competencies
High School Diploma or GED AND
Two years of experience in office and/or administrative support which includes responsibility for routine and complex clerical tasks OR
An equivalent combination of experience and education that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of this position.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Experience maintaining records (manual and electronic) and performing data entry with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Proficiency using MS Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook and the Internet; ability to learn and use agency software.
Strong organizational skills including prioritizing, ensuring accuracy, multi-tasking, and handling interruptions appropriately; ensures assignments are completed in a timely and effective manner; demonstrated ability to work independently.
Clearly and effectively communicates professionally, both orally and in writing, with staff, other departments, landlords, owners, and the general public; conducts client interactions with courtesy, tact and sensitivity.
Works effectively with a highly diverse client group both culturally and ethnically.
Establishes and maintains courteous and productive working relationships with supervisors, staff, clients, and other internal and external stakeholders.
Adapts to changing business needs, conditions, and work responsibilities.
Maintains consistent and reliable attendance and actively participates in assigned area.
Consent to and pass required assessments.
Consent to and pass criminal records background check.

Salary & Benefits:
The starting salary range for this position is $22.43 - $25.80 per hour. A comprehensive health care benefits package for you and your dependents includes medical, dental and vision insurance, life and long-term disability insurance plans, vacation, sick and personal leave, tuition reimbursement, and retirement benefits are available.
Physical Work Environment
