Full Job Description
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
3 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function.
Experience using SQL or another scripting language (R, Python).
Experience and expertise in financial analysis, accounting, analytics or related quantitative work.
Experience in Ads, e-Commerce, Consulting, Corporate Finance or comparable.
Excellent project management, partnership, communications, and technical skills.
Expertise in Profit and loss and Financial infrastructure and processes.
Excellent attention to detail.

As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. While working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to solve big picture challenges.
The Commerce and Ads, Financial Planning and Analysis team partners closely with the business to understand our financial trajectory and advise on key investments and trade-offs. Our team is broad in scope, covering Google Ads, YouTube Ads, Shopping, Travel, and Lens; and global in coverage, spanning all regions and emerging markets. We play the role of trusted adviser to the business and strive to reveal opportunities, manage risks, and optimize investments.
As the YouTube Ads analyst, you will play a key role in the development and reporting of the YouTube Profit and Loss. You will work across a broad network of Finance and cross-functional teams to build the Profit and Loss in a way that is comprehensive and reflective of YouTube’s ads investments, including opex, headcount, and machines. You take a big picture approach to understanding the business and will lead regular reviews with YouTube and Google Ads leadership, sharing the latest outlook and gaining buy-in on approach.

Own the forecasts, financial management, and annual planning for YouTube Ads opex and headcount.
Partner with other finance stakeholders to understand cross-functional investments made in support of YouTube Ads and represented on the YouTube Profit and Loss.
Lead quarterly reviews of YouTube Ads Profit and Loss and allocations with YouTube, Google Ads, and Finance leadership.
