General Definition and Conditions of Work
The Recreation, Parks & Cultural Resources Director plans, manages, directs, coordinates, and supervises recreation and parks programs, facilities, services, and staff; handles personnel and public information matters; coordinates work with Town Manager and department directors; and serves as staff and technical resource support to the Recreation and Parks Commission, Town Manager, Town Council, and other committees as assigned. The Department has 13.5 full-time equivalent employees, 80 - 120 part-time temporary employees depending on the season, and an FY 2022 - 2023 budget of $1,980,683. The Director reports to the Town Manager and supervises all Department personnel.
