Program Overview:
Discover identifies individuals who inherently possess Discover Values of Doing the Right Thing, Innovation, Simplicity, Collaboration, Volunteerism, Enthusiasm, and Respect. This program provides participants with:
Interesting project assignments that support Discovers strategic priorities and objectives
Real time and consistent performance feedback
A team of resources to assist with ongoing training and coaching on career development
Exposure to managers with excellence in business acumen and effectiveness in managing and developing personnel
Broad knowledge of cross-functional initiatives, experience and career contacts

Exposure to and presentations to management
Program start dates are May 20th, 2019 or June 17th, 2019

Marketing/Management Track:
The Marketing and Management Internship Program (MBAMIP) is an internship program for current MBA students. Individuals selected for the MBAMIP will be placed in an area within Marketing and Discover Global Network and report to high performing managers (selected by Senior Marketing Leadership). Participants will work on strategic initiatives aligned with Discovers high-level goals. Marketing internship areas include:

Card Marketing – Acquisition, Portfolio, Rewards
Digital Design and Delivery
Brand Communications
Consumer Insights & Market Research
Collections Marketing Strategy
Payments Marketing – including Discover Global Network, Diners Club International and Pulse Debit Network

Minimum Qualifications

Individuals enrolled in an accredited MBA Program who will have completed their studies by June 2020
Must have a graduation date between December 2019 – June 2020
Minimum of 3 years of US-based work experience
This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Strong problem-solving abilities and intellectual curiosity
Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to translate ideas into clear priorities
Strong interpersonal skills, including ability to interact with and influence employees at all different levels
Ability to resolve ambiguity and analyze data to surface insights
Operates as a team player
Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Access)
Knowledge of operation/workflow tools: Visio, PMP certificate, Lean Six Sigma, JIRA, Rally
Analytics focused: exposure to SQL, Python
Digital marketing certifications (e.g. Google AdWords, Google Analytics, etc.)
