Senior Project Engineer - Water Resources Project Engineer (Pump Stations)

BKF has immediate openings for senior-level civil engineers with strong technical abilities, and experienced in Water Resources project design and able to lead a team of engineers on small and large projects. Able to work from any office of choice.

Responsibilities:
Technical: Large pump station and hydrology design experience from the ground up. Civil site design pump station condition assessment, retrofit, new design, hydraulic modeling, control valves. Preparation of contract documents (plans, specifications, and cost estimates), and provide design services during bidding and construction. Work closely with sub-consultants (electrical and structural engineers), as needed. Prepare technical sections of proposals and participate in interview presentations. Review and supervise technical aspects of work. Oversee design approach and project delivery. Provide quality control reviews.

Management & Marketing: Represent BKF in communications with the client from initial marketing efforts through entire course of agreement activity. Communicate regularly with the assigned BKF Principal and Water Resources group leader relative to project status and performance. Manage all aspects of assigned BKF project. Serve as a resource and mentor to less experienced staff members and coordinate staff resources with other groups.

Qualifications:
Must have strong technical experience delivering detailed designs, plans, and specifications for municipal and private utility infrastructure projects, including pump station and tank design for storm drain, potable water, and wastewater systems. Experience with 100 hp or larger pump stations, pump station retrofits, hydrology design, and permitting for California projects is a strong plus. BS in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABT accredited curriculum or equivalent. Applicant must be a registered Civil Engineer (PE) in the state of California. 8-12 years of professional experience preferred.
