Integrated Defense Systems
The selected candidate will function as the lobby receptionist at Integrated Defense Systems (IDS) Headquarters facility in Tewksbury, MA. Position is a member of the Industrial Security Department and will report directly to the site Facility Security Officer (FSO) / Security Manager.
Candidate’s main duties will include, but not be limited to:
Greeting and processing a large number of daily visitors in a highly professional and courteous manner
Performing access control functions for employees and visitors through detailed observation skills and validation of credentials
Approving all visitors through Visitor Registration System (VRS)
Processing classified visits through the Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS) and soon the Defense Information System for Security (DISS)
Tracking and following up on cleared employee annual training requirements
Maintaining a highly vigilant state of awareness and reporting any suspicious persons or behaviors to the site security manager
Conduct random bag checks as directed
Candidate must possess strong interpersonal communications skills as she/he will be expected to communicate with all levels of employee and visitor, both telephonically and in person. Expectation is that the same high level of professionalism will be extended to all personnel, regardless of their position, that the candidate interacts with. Candidate must be cognizant that they will in many cases be the first IDS employee that a guest comes in contact with, so utmost care should be extended in making all individuals feel welcomed.
This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance. Except in very rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Minimum of four (4) years of related security experience required.
Candidate must have an active and in-scope DoD Secret Security Clearance with no active incident reports.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience with implementation of the NISPOM
Must have the ability to multitask and act independently.
Excellent interpersonal skills; able to interface with customers and employees at all levels.
Position requires proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and a working knowledge of JPAS, Access Commander, Visitor Registration System and CCURE database.

High School Diploma
Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in a security related discipline
