The Strategic Planning Vice President will work closely with the Product leadership team to provide strategic decision support, financial forecasts, and drive best in class End-to-End Product Management across Merchant Services. The role will report directly to the Head of Strategic Planning for the Merchant Services Product team focusing on International Expansion and Business Transformation. The individual will drive the work effort for significant initiatives (both one-time and ongoing projects) with team members drawn from across Merchant Services and product teams. A keen ability to problem solve in a consultative nature with is imperative. An ideal candidate must have a proven background in financial strategy.
Act as internal consultant to Merchant Services Product team to solve problems across multiple functions (Sales, Product, Tech, Ops, Marketing, etc) and Lines of Business (Investment Bank, Commercial Bank and Small Business)
Develop and frame problem statements, cultivate a framework to answer the problem leveraging business acumen and quantitative analysis, provide potential options with justifications, deliver a clear and well-constructed recommendation and plan to implement and execute
Ability to proactively translate strategic direction into execution including but not limited to: new market planning and analysis, bottoms-up forecasting aligned to feature roadmaps, and pricing strategy
Ability to develop and articulate well thought out business cases and their financial/bottom line impacts
Drive significant product/partner development based on business objectives
Product Scorecard: Create and publish performance scorecard for entire product organization, inclusive of product sales and pipeline data, product operational performance, team and controls performance
Partners effectively across functional areas
Develops crisp and concise presentations for senior management
Fosters an environment where risk/control issues are escalated, and trends are anticipated and identified

Bachelor’s degree required
Typically requires 6-8 years experience (2-4 years post-MBA), with at least 4 years in payments, technology, e-commerce or financial services
Must haves include: general business strategy acumen, talent for communication of complex business topics, and strong financial analytics skills
Ideal candidate to have strategy consulting background, with exposure to product development processes and understanding of product development lifecycle
Proficiency in visualization tools (Tableau) is required
An outstanding ability to apply quantitative analytical approaches, communicate effectively (both verbally and written), and work well in cross-functional teams
Talent for communication of complex business topics required
