Salesforce Administrator – Job Description
As a Salesforce Administrator, you will be responsible for driving and supporting the requirements of IEM through the development and management of our Salesforce environment. The role is focused on optimizing our Salesforce platform and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to enhance the design and efficiency of this system. You'll work closely with stakeholders to ensure our Salesforce user base thrives. You'll identify opportunities to leverage the platform's power, gather user needs, and translate them into actionable solutions that propel our business forward.
Responsibilities
- Provide end-user production support, solve business/customer issues, invent creative solutions, and ensure data accuracy across the system. Manage data quality, data cleansing activities to ensure data integrity and accuracy within the Salesforce platform.
- Partner with business stakeholders to proactively identify, drive, and build improvements, automations, enhancements, and system customization that solve critical business needs.
- Stay up to date with Salesforce releases, new features and best practices and assess their impact on the organization.
- Provide insightful technical recommendations to address specific business needs.
- Create and customize objects, fields, layouts, dashboards, and reports to automate processes and improve user experience.
- Understand data flows and integrations between various enterprise applications.
- Translate user requirements and stories into actionable steps, empowering users with the tools they need.
- Test and ensure the smooth implementation of any changes made to the system.
- Understand existing processes to identify system improvement areas, drive automation, improve end-user experience, reduce costs, and/or save time.
- Establish and maintain documentation for Salesforce workflows and best practices.
- Provide guidance, support, and expertise to teams across the IEM organization on Salesforce best practices to ensure proper implementation and sustainability.
- Perform day-to-day Salesforce administration tasks including but not limited to user and license management, roles, profiles, permission sets, workflows, and process automation with process builder and flows.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Required Expertise:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline or equivalent hands-on experience.
- 4+ years working in Salesforce with 2+ years experience as a Salesforce Administrator and a strong understanding of Salesforce best practices.
- Salesforce Admin certification or equivalent.
- Analytical and critical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills. Able to meet deadlines consistently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal abilities, with a talent for conveying complex ideas clearly and understandably.
- Ability to manage change and expectations positively through a fast-moving environment.
- Ability to work with Salesforce.com and MuleSoft Partners.
General Competencies:
- Basic understanding of manufacturing and accounting principles.
- Ability to meticulously test, document, and convey configuration changes and system modifications with the end-user in mind.
- Experience with Mulesoft is HIGHLY desirable.
- Experience with JIRA Projects and Service Management system is desirable.
Work Authorization and Job Location:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- The position is fully remote with minimal travel required to IEM facilities or conferences.
