Working closely with the business, compliance professionals ensure that our risk based program is both globally effective and locally anchored to our key divisional businesses. As an independent and robust second level control function, the Compliance Department seeks to manage compliance risk and deepen the culture of compliance at Deutsche Bank through the development and management of strategies that are sustainable and increases the trust of our clients.

Overview

Your initial and primary focus will be to partner with members of DBUS Compliance in the development and implementation of a flood insurance program for monitoring compliance with the Federal Reserve Bank’s Regulation H. This will also include the development of reporting and metrics with respect to flood insurance monitoring. Once the program is established, critical responsibilities of the position will include monitoring and reporting of loans subject to flood insurance requirements across lines of business. Additionally, the position will include trend analysis, identification of process gaps and root causes, remediation, as well as drafting and review of policies and procedures. The position will require the development of high impact presentation materials for governing bodies and senior stakeholders. In addition to experience in a regulatory compliance function, you should ideally have knowledge of flood insurance regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with lines of business, Legal and DBUS Compliance officers and other key stakeholders to create a Regulation H monitoring program
Promote consistency of approach, where applicable, to compliance with Regulation H across all Deutsche Bank businesses by interfacing with the business and infrastructure line compliance officers and other subject matter experts
Perform monitoring that will include, but not be limited to, identifying loans that are subject to flood insurance, ensuring adequate flood insurance coverage prior to the closing of the loan as well as throughout the life of the loan
Liaise with various Compliance Functional teams to communicate Regulation H data requests and collate submissions
Contribute to enhanced reporting to key stakeholders, including various Councils and senior management, the results of flood insurance monitoring
Review and revise, as necessary, compliance policies related to Regulation H
Assist lines of business and business line compliance in the drafting and reviewing of procedures related to Regulation H
Provide subject matter expertise to Training, Testing and Risk Assessment units within Compliance, as well as certain Line Compliance units
Identify emerging risk areas relevant to flood insurance and recommend action to minimize risk
Assist Compliance senior management in providing information responsive to regulatory inquiries about Regulation H matters, and assist in gathering compliance deliverables for any regulatory exam or request when applicable

Position Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
Previous relevant experience of US bank regulatory Compliance or relevant experience
Knowledge of compliance and regulatory expectations, and industry standards
Highly professional demeanor with excellent communication skills, verbal and written
Ability to deliver timely and quality execution in a fast-paced and high-pressured environment
Detail oriented and organized, as well as proactive in follow up on pending deliverables
Flexibility to work extended hours to meet deadlines, when necessary
Ability to act decisively and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Strong technical skills using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Experience and knowledge in utilizing Reporting visualization tools (Tableau, Qlikview, etc.)
