The Operations group is responsible for key functions critical to achieving the vision, values & goals of Wells Fargo. Operations provides foundational banking services for many businesses across the enterprise. Within the Operations team our Operations Support team leads and supports Operations' business strategy and process improvement efforts including advancing Operations Centers of Excellence (COEs) to remove complexity, eliminate duplication and lower expenses.
Within the Operations team, our Analytics and Decision Support (ADS) center of excellence partners with product, channel, risk and technology teams to provide the right insights and data, for the right problem, to the right person, in the right format and at the right time. Our main objective in ADS is to enable business partners to make strategic decisions through analytical consultation between various levels of the Operations organization.
This position is part of the Analytics Support team within the Analytics and Decision Support center of excellence. The position is a Relationship Manager (RM) role that will play a key part in ensuring that analytical projects requested by supported lines of business are delivered according to established quality, timeliness and presentation requirements. The successful RM will have experience in leading consultation with business users on the analytical solutions available to them and will partner with in-house analytics experts and product, channel, risk and technology teams to develop and deliver impactful analytical projects to leaders at all levels of the Operations organization. Additionally, demonstrated ability in leveraging exacting attention to detail while not losing sight of the big picture along with a combination of experience in process governance, tradeoff analysis, training, access management and technical requirements translation would set the exceptionally qualified RM candidate apart. Experience in the Fraud Claims process with a large financial services firm is a key differentiator for this opening, as is the demonstrated ability to lead junior team members in the delivery of complex projects while effectively negotiating the expectations of senior leadership on high priority requests.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Responsible for very complex partner assignments to identify and define strategic business issues that require analyses and translates this information into insight, knowledge and understanding of the business and the industry.
Consults and performs very complex analyses/ analysis design involving data mining from multiple sources and/or predictive modeling, regression/multivariate, financial, comparative analysis, customer/demographic analysis, etc
Analytics involved generally span multiple functional areas/business lines/data sources. Responsibilities also include identifying opportunities for additional statistical models and/or creating sophisticated computer modeling approaches to analyze and forecast business performance; participating in and/or leading management information capabilities development work; interpreting and presenting results of analyses and recommendations to senior management
Ensures adherence to data management/data governance regulations and policies. Data involved may be very large, structured or unstructured, and from multiple sources.
To a certain degree, may be involved directly or indirectly in the technical build-out and/or support of databases, query tools, reporting tools, BI tools, dashboards, etc that enable analysis, modeling, and/or data visualization.
Leads project/virtual teams & mentors lower level staff.
6+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling; or a Masters degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis and 4+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling
Extensive knowledge and understanding of research and analysis
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Advanced Microsoft Office skills
Ability to think creatively to find innovative solutions to complex analytical questions
Ability to interact with integrity and a high level of professionalism with all levels of team members and management

Knowledge and understanding of databases and data mining techniques
Other Desired Qualifications
Master’s Degree or higher
Experience in Fraud Claims processing to include: regulatory requirements, industry operational practices and key performance indicators
Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and build relationships with individuals at all levels including senior management
Ability to analyze and compare data from multiple sources
Demonstrated ability to consult and/or negotiate timelines, requirements and expectations with senior managers and their teams
Demonstrated ability to work proactively in meeting requirements on high priority, quick turnaround requirements in support of senior management, executive and/or regulatory initiatives
2+ years in BI dashboards
Proven track record working with and scrutinizing models, databases, reporting tools, and/or data mining results
Experience with OMARS, Tableau and/or Microstrategy
Working knowledge in database design
Demonstrated experience leading efforts that require integration of multiple technology systems, operations and/or customer service processes across multiple business lines
Familiar with CAC data environments such as but not limited to FDR, DASH, RFS, Micro Strategies
Must be a self-starter, self-motivated and an independent individual with ability to manage workload and lead team to meet deadlines
Exceptional problem solving skills with proven ability to turn findings into strategic initiatives
The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.
