Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)/Qualified Behavioral Health Professional (QBHP)/Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA)
Job Summary:
This is a hybrid position for our Midland, MI location. We are requiring the BCBA to be on site at least 4 days a week (including assessments, training staff, or other responsibilities).
Michigan Autism Care & ABA Services first opened its doors July 2021 and are growing rapidly! We are a small, tight-knit team looking to add an enthusiastic Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)/Qualified Behavioral Health Professional (QBHP)/Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) to our company. Michigan Autism Care offers center-based ABA services to clients ages 2-21 years old. Candidates are expected to be available Monday-Friday, hours varying based upon client needs.
Job Description:
- The BCBA will be required to provide RBT supervision and Practicum student supervision as needed.
- Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-7pm (schedule will vary, but those are the center’s open hours)
- We provide in-home services on a client to client basis
Requirements:
- Active BCBA/BCaBA Certification, in good standing with the BACB (We will accept QBHP if BCBA exam is scheduled to occur within 6 months from start date)
- Current MI state licensure (LBA)
- Master’s degree or Bachelor's degree in Applied Behavioral Analysis, psychology, or education
- Completion of an ACE provider 8-hour supervision training (if already has BCBA certification)
- Minimum 2 years experience working in ABA
- Demonstrated experience and skills in team leadership
- Ability to independently and repeatedly lift, move and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds
- TB test, background check, central registry clearance, infant/child/adult CPR and first Aid certificate required
- Valid driver’s license and ability to transport clients as needed
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct a Functional Behavior Assessment and write Behavior Intervention Plans
- Conduct initial or re-assessments every 6-months using VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, AFLS, and/or PEAK
- Manage a caseload of up to 20 billable hours per week with majority of the caseload being in the evening time (3pm-7pm)
- Provide 1:1 direct care services to clients as needed
- Supervise direct care services on a weekly basis
- Host monthly parent trainings to clients’ families
- Submit all required documentation as needed by case managers/insurance companies
- Collaborate closely with other professionals, including but not limited to teachers, speech therapists, occupational therapists, case managers, social workers, counselors, or BCBAs
- Maintain thorough communication with clinical directors on a regular basis
- Design individualized behavior analytic programs with clients ages 2-21
- Understands and references staff/client handbooks, follows all company policies and procedures, and ensures staff follows all company policies and procedures
- Assist with other duties and center support tasks, as needed
