Clinical Nurse Specialist position for ambulatory clinic. The ideal candidate will have a background in medical-surgical nursing, medical ICU and ambulatory clinic. Mostly M-F, but may need to work some off shifts or rare weekends. Experience is preferred.
MSN or DNP as a CNS with an Ohio license.

The APRN-Clinical Nurse and System Specialist (APRN – CN&SS) is an integral part of the nursing leadership team. Assesses the impact of the social and economic forces on the delivery of care. Collaborates, participates, makes decisions and has input into and supports the goals of the nursing service and specialty area. The APRN-CN&SS practice spans three spheres of influence: the patient/family; the nurse/healthcare team; and The MetroHealth System. It is through these spheres that the APRN-CN&SS practice influences outcomes within the eight domains defined below. While the balance of the practice across the three spheres may vary by specialty, the focus is improvement of clinical and system outcomes. Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. A graduate degree with a major in a clinical area of nursing and possesses appropriate specialty certification. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio. Certificate of Authority as a Clinical Nurse Specialist, Certified Nurse Midwife, or Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner from the Ohio Board of Nursing. Meets the requirements/qualifications for clinical privileges as a Clinical Nurse Specialist, Certified Nurse Midwife, or Certified Nurse Practitioner within The MetroHealth System and must report to Medical Staff Office to apply for clinical privileges at the time of hire Maintains privileges Current Basic Life Support Certification through the American Heart Association or obtains within 90 days of hire. Obtains other advanced life support certifications applicable to practice area within 180 days of hire.
Perinatal Area: Labor & Delivery, postpartum, and/or ambulatory obstetric experience as APRN or RNPerioperative Areas: Perioperative or operating room experience as APRN or as RN.Emergency Department/Clinical Decision Unit: Master of Science in Nursing, Medical/Surgical, or Critical Care Nursing Adult Clinical Nurse Specialist or Acute Care Board Certification with experience in critical care or emergency medicine.Skilled Nursing Facility: Master of Science in Nursing with the specialty of Medical/Surgical or Gerontological Nursing. Physical Demand: May need to move around intermittently during the day, including sitting, standing, stooping, bending and ambulating. May need to remain still for extended periods, including sitting and standing. Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email and other communications. Ability to read job related documents. Ability to use computer.
