Job Summary

The Competitive Intelligence and Online Booking Tool Specialist will lead and coordinate the development of a global competitive intelligence program. The person in this role will use industry insights, market trends, internal data and voice of the customer information to develop a program that educates sellers on the competitive landscape. Trends and information provided by this person will be used to inform and develop the strategy for the business unit. In addition, this person will be expected to become the subject matter expert for online booking tools and use this knowledge to coach and educate sellers on how to optimize use of online booking tools to increase inventory exposure. The manager will identify trends and innovations in program design, pricing, service models and customer/consumer engagement to develop new market entrants. They will translate findings into insights and actionable recommendations that drive strategic, tactical and operational business decisions.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Develop and oversee the monitoring of market and industry trends to facilitate competitive response through marketing and sales initiatives, strategic planning, product/ program development and go to market strategy.Analyze data, current product and program performance and identify performance trends. Use the information to recommend changes or discontinuation of current programs.Identify gaps in the market and use information to evaluate impact of competitive advantage and develop recommendations for new market entrants.Provide business analytics (market/industry/competitive trends) to help drive initiatives critical to growth and support decision making.Develop a cadence and approach for communicating the impact of programs on financial objectives – identify trends and utilize the insights to predict performance of programs with customers and accounts.Execute the sourcing of primary and secondary sources of market and competitive intelligence across a broad range of competitors and market segments.Collaborate with internal and external business partners to identify business issues/concerns and resulting competitive intelligence requirements.Measure and monitor adoption and adherence to policies and procedures.Become the subject matter expert for online booking tools and use the information to develop (with sales enablement teams) an effective approach to training global sellers.Identify ways to improve implementation and use of online booking tools to address and make progress against strategic initiatives.

What we need from you
Education

Bachelor's or Master's Degree Business Administration or Mathematics, Finance or relevant / equivalent combination of education and work related experience

Experience

10+ years of experience in the fields of competitive intelligence, sales operations and enablement and communications design and development.

Ability to develop and implement new programs in a heavily matrixed organization.

Technical Skills and Knowledge

Knowledge of primary and secondary research and competitive intelligence methodologies and techniques.

Strong analytical skills, including the ability to analyze large data sets, identify insights, and synthesize how these insights impact business decisions. Ability to distill industry and online booking tool information into consumable information for internal partners.

Solid interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills required. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively to a wide range of audiences, including executives, account managers, colleagues across multiple business units throughout the organization.

Ability to communicate complex subject to audiences at various levels.

Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional business teams.

Ability to work independently, with limited supervision, to perform multiple complex and often unique work assignments.

Positive, team-first, results-driven attitude.

Self-motivated, highly organized individual with strong attention to detail.

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of statistics or other quantitative techniques or disciplines.

Mechanism for communicating Online Booking Tool information to sellers.

Key Relationships

Work closely with Global Sales Operations and Enablement teams to develop necessary tools, products, and reporting to support tracking and monitoring with deals.

Frequent interaction with Global Sales Leaders.

Suppliers and vendors for Online Booking Tool.

Minimal Travel – less than 10%
