JOB DESCRIPTION

Essential Functions:
40%: Serve as social media correspondent for all Miami HEAT home games. Person will work closely with broadcasters prior to game to gather content and also work out of press box on site to clip and post in-game highlights and linear features to our social media accounts.

30%: Produce, host on camera and edit network and team related topical and timely content for our digital and linear platforms, specifically with the daily Midday Minute update. In addition to the Midday Minute, the individual will have the opportunity to be the host and producer of original content created out of studio.

20% : Serve as social media correspondent for select Miami Marlins, Florida Panthers and High-School football games. Person will work closely with broadcasters prior to game to gather content and then staff game out of press box clipping highlights for distribution on social.

10%: Assist with production, social content creation and distribution of network messaging and priorities across digital platforms.

Education / Experience:
A Bachelor’s degree is required. 1-2 years hosting and / or producing digital content. Strong knowledge of video production related techniques and on-line content management systems. Proficient in social media platforms, specifically Twitter, Snapchat, Facebook and Instagram. Has an established ability to create and produce compelling stories and generate ideas. An overall knowledge of South Florida sports and television production/broadcast operations is recommended. Previous on-camera experience as a host or reporter and bilingual in English Spanish / welcomed. Ability to travel between Miami-Dade and Broward County regularly required.
