The Mail Processing Associate II is responsible for outgoing and incoming mail as well as the disbursement of mail within the company. Prepare incoming mail for receipt and outgoing mail for dispatch.

Responsibilities
Responsible for presorting inbound and outbound mail.
Carries out established procedures in handling incoming and outgoing mail, arranging it by customer, distributing it and operating equipment associated with mail activities.
Verifies, documents, and bundles packages and indicates extra or missing bundles according to procedure.
Processes large amounts of postage daily.
Receives packages, verifies items against the record of shipment, and inspects condition.
Gathers, verifies, and packs items for shipment according to specifications and the transportation method used.
Records received and shipped items according to established procedures.
Responsible for operating presort equipment.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 30 lbs.
Requires excellent customer service skills.
Position will support Building Receptionist for lunch breaks, etc.
Telephone experience required to provide breaks for Building Receptionist.
Basic Excel and Outlook skills required.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education
GED or Equivalent

Intermediate support role. Moderate skills with high level of proficiency. Has complete understanding of mail processing and distribution department. May coach junior technical staff. Works under general supervision with latitude for independent judgment. May consult with senior peers on more complex issues. Typically requires a minimum of two or more years mail processing and distribution experience with at least one year as a Mail Processing Associate I.
