Primary Function
This position manages the TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) program by working collaboratively with student services personnel and academic divisions to coordinate program services and provide direct services to students, as well as performs annual program evaluation and reporting.

Essential Duties
The following list is not intended as, nor should it be construed as, exhaustive of all responsibilities, skills or working conditions associated with this position.

Serves as leader and administrator of the SSS Program. Plans, organizes and coordinates all activities, services and operations associated with the program
Ensures proper staffing, training and evaluation of SSS Program personnel
Communicates objectives and outcomes of the program, works with marketing and public relations staff to develop promotional and informational materials, and serves as an advocate and liaison within the college and the community
Utilizes and assesses data regarding participant success to recommend any needed changes to program strategies, services and effectiveness
Provides intrusive advising to 25 SSS participants, and to additional potential participants as needed. Assists program participants in establishing appropriate academic and personal goals through the advising process
Prepares reports, manages the SSS database and manages the SSS program budget in accordance with federal grant guidelines
Conducts student success and cultural workshops for SSS participants, and travels with participants to off-campus academic and cultural excursions
Performs other duties as assigned to support students and grant responsibilities
Minimum Requirements
Master's degree in education, guidance and counseling, or other applicable field
Three years of related leadership experience in an educational setting
Strong computer, database, teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills

Preference will be given to candidates with:
one year of teaching experience at the higher education level;
experience designing, managing or implementing TRIO SSS programs or similar projects;
data management experience;
experience overcoming barriers similar to those in the TRIO program;
demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills;
knowledge of retention factors; and
an understanding of the diverse academic and socioeconomic backgrounds of students.

This full-time administrative position is grant-funded and non-standard. A modified benefits package is available for this position.
