The Human Resources Assistant will perform duties related to HRIS systems, benefits and the recruiting/ on-boarding process. Provides excellent customer service to internal clients (employees and managers( in person and over the phone. This position also provides administrative support to the Human Resources Manager.

DUTIES:

  • Assist with recruiting and on-boarding process of new hires (e-Verify, background check, new hire paperwork, on-line training (HIPAA), creating personnel folders etc.)
  • Set up new hires in the time clock system
  • Enter new hires in the benefits system
  • Provide administrative support to the HR Manager to include filing and special projects
  • Special projects, research and other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Knowledge of commonly accepted Human Resources practices and procedures
  • Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, e-mail)
  • Working knowledge of office equipment (fax, copier, printer etc.)
  • Attentive to detail, proven ability to multi-task and take ownership of assigned tasks
  • Positive attitude with strong customer service skills relating to internal customers (employees/managers)
  • Two years’ experience in Human Resources
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Bilingual and/or Healthcare experience are a plus

EDUCATION:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Associated or higher degree preferred
  • Education or certifications related to Human Resources is a plus
