Job Overview
Eagle Transmission & Auto Repair is looking for a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team, specializing in the service and repair of light to medium-duty diesel vehicles. The ideal candidate will have experience working on diesel vehicles such as F550s, 5500s, and other similar or smaller models. We are not looking for experience with semi-trucks, but expertise in diesel-powered vehicles used in commercial and fleet applications.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines and systems on various light to medium-duty vehicles.
- Perform routine services such as oil changes, brake repairs, and other preventative maintenance.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, fuel systems, exhaust systems, transmissions, and other components.
- Use diagnostic equipment and software to identify issues accurately and efficiently.
- Communicate with customers about findings, repair options, and service needs.
- Ensure a clean and safe workspace, following all safety standards and procedures.
- Complete accurate and timely documentation of all repairs.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and related systems.
- Conduct automotive diagnostics to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
- Utilize hand tools and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot mechanical problems.
- Repair or replace components such as shocks, struts, and HVAC systems as needed.
- Operate forklifts for moving heavy parts and equipment safely.
- Read and interpret schematics to assist in the repair process.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations while performing heavy lifting tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed on vehicles.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or in a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques and safety protocols.
- Experience with tractor-trailer maintenance is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment specific to diesel mechanics.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $38.00 - $55.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 70 per week
