Objective: The Pür Cosmetics Account Executive is a cosmetic industry leader who builds the sales volume, market share, and brand presence with the partnership of our retail partners. The following description outlines the overarching expectations, but is not limited to the outline below.

Business Analysis

Annual Budget Responsibility: Travel & Exense budget, Selling Specialist budget, training budgets, as well as overseeing the budgets for their Accountant Coordinator to ensure it is being utilized to grow the business effectively.
Analyze sales reports to identify trends and opportunities and operate accordingly.
Develop and maintain an organized system that ensures appropriate levels of car stock, testers, gratis, and supplies are on hand.
Flexibility regarding work hours is essential
One office day per week.

Training & Education

Train and motivate in-store retail staff to cultivate brand loyalty and increase the stores sales contribution
The Account Executive should create a memorable, positive, professional and enthusiastic presence.
Strong aptitude for product knowledge, brand messaging, artistry, training and selling
Build strong business relationships with in-store staff and retail management.
Strong artistry and demonstration skills
Understand and executing effective trainings based on visual, auditory and demonstrative training models
Effectively training on brand “sound bites” and ensuring retention and execution.

Store Relationships and In Store Expectations

Account Executives spend 80% of their time in the field, working shoulder to shoulder with in-store staff
A strong understanding of Ulta, it’s policies, procedures, promotions, and opportunities.
The Account Executive will maintain consistent communication with stores, Ulta management team (DM’s, PMT, Events Managers), selling specialists, the Regional Area Manager, the National Sales Director and the Pur corporate team.
Lead by example at the store level by demonstrating effective techniques for makeup application, selling skills, and superior product knowledge.
Maintain Pur Cosmetics image and brand standards by adhering to company policies, dress code, and merchandising guidelines.
Be the “eyes and ears” of the brand at the store level; provide continual communication of store, product, space/location challenges and/or changes to RAM.
Responsible for driving sales and executing strategies to ensure the achievement of overall territory sales goals and objectives.
Identify and work to quickly resolve inventory, staffing, branding, or merchandising issues.
In store trainings should be exciting and interactive. Trainings to include leave behind educational material, face charts, and the Pur Friendly list.
Store visits should include product demonstrations and applications
Has the ability to bring the brand vision to life in store via dynamic presentations, creative product demonstrations, and an outgoing personality
All areas of the store should be utilized as marketing opportunities including the gondola, backroom, empty gift fixtures, promotional areas, etc.
Execute successful market events to build sales, customer acquisition, and increase brand awareness.

Team Management

The Account Executive is responsible for the overall business in the specific market that includes any Account Coordinator and/or Selling Specialist direct reports.
Ensure that each store and selling specialist within the market is trained on core, new product launches and is aware of and supporting Pur promotions.
Manage and approve your teams schedule for both the Account Coordinator and in store Selling Specialists to ensure they are working the highest volume stores, hours, and during in store promotions.
Identify opportunities with your Account Cooridnator for market growth based on store opportunities, location marketing opportunities (marketing/social/etc), events, etc
Ensure that your team and Account Coordinators team of Selling Specialists are equipped with all brand tools. Including but not limited to: Brushes, Marketing Material, Educational Information, New Product Launch Information, Sales Goals, Gondola Updates, etc.
Speak weekly with your Account Coordinator(s) to review sales trend, promotions, track success and objectives, discuss needs or concerns of the market and change strategy based on the needs of the business.
Conduct an AC market visit every other month to review the business trend, conduct a business review with liability store management, develop relationships with the stores, District Managers and selling specialists.
Conduct 60/90 day Reviews with AC’s.
Performance management and documentation for all direct reports
Skill Set

Computer literate.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree (B.A). from an accredited college or university; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Makeup application experience required; advanced artistry a plus.
At least (3) three years of progressive professional sales experience in the cosmetic industry.
At least (3) three to (5) five years’ management experience; multi-unit territory experience a plus.

Demonstrated strong planning, multi-tasking and organizational skills within a fast-paced environment with specific attention to detail.
Extensive customer service skills; ability to make professional and memorable group presentations.
Effective communication/selling skills to include good written, verbal and oral communication skills; persuasive negotiator and team player.
Ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with retailers and colleagues.
Adapt in Windows Office software: Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
Ability to travel within the territory geography and within travel/expense budgets.
Highly motivates, self-starter, and ability to work autonomously.
Ability to work on weekends.
Ability to perform sales and education functions.
Must maintain reliable transportation; Car insurance, and a valid State Driver’s License is required.
Ability to incur two weeks of expenses on personal credit card. Reimbursements processed within one week of submission.

Physical Demands:
Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed, may require walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods during the day, reaching above shoulder heights, below waist or lifting as required to file documents or store materials throughout the day. The position may require lifting heavy supplies and office materials. This position has a high percentage of travel including some air travel required up to 50%.
