The position is responsible to oversee construction projects for highway, roadway, and safety improvement projects.
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Responsible for the overall management and performance of highway/road construction and safety projects across the US.
Interact with state/government agencies for project planning and execution.
Interact with construction, safety, and materials subcontractors and vendors.
Develop and periodically revise target plans to meet project specifications and production goals
Manage all employees including:
Lead all project results per contract, along with meeting and/or exceeding financial expectation.
Monitor contracts to ensure proper expense management and maximization of operating profits are being realized
Pursue optimal utilization of current equipment inventory is effective, and that the inventory is of sufficient quantity to handle contract needs
Ensure all staff are abiding by all federal, state, and local laws within the scope of their contracts
Monitor fleet of vehicles and equipment to ensure worthiness, thus not jeopardizing DBI employees
Ensure solid staffing and hiring plan and that the plan is executed on a timely basis
Provide feed-back to division manager on opportunities on projects and any relevant information necessary
Work in conjunction with division and regional managers to coordinate project planning and execution
Conduct field inspections of crews
Ability to travel an average of 50%-75% per month is a must
Must have 5+ years’ experience in a public roads environment
Additional industry-related training/certification is desirable
Highway maintenance experience is preferred
Experienced manager with oil and gas operations accepted
