Power Packaging is currently seeking a 1st and 2nd shift Maintenance Lead for its dry foods manufacturing plant in Grand Prairie, TX.

Assist the Maintenance Manager in staff in maintaining, repairing, and rebuilding various production machines and equipment in a manufacturing environment.
Assist the Maintenance Manager in maintaining production equipment in a manner to meet organization and customer standards, including ensuring minimum equipment downtime.
Assist the Maintenance Manager in overseeing the performance of preventative and unscheduled maintenance.

Key Accountabilities:
Assists Maintenance Manager in scheduling of preventive and unscheduled maintenance activities and ensures completion of activities according to schedule, with minimal production disruption. Assists in communicating with departments to ensure production priorities are addressed in a timely manner.
Assists Maintenance Manager in creating a positive and working environment for associates, supports continuous improvement and employee empowerment/problem-solving skills, increases technical knowledge of staff, and reinforces company policy and philosophy while treating associates with respect.
Assists Maintenance Manager with personnel in charge of maintaining, repairing, and rebuilding various production machines and equipment. Also, assists in determining daily priority scheduling of associate activities.
Assists Maintenance Manager in overseeing setup and use of tools and production equipment to ensure optimum level of safety. Assists in fostering a safe working environment and enforce compliance of OSHA regulations and MSDS standards.
Assists Maintenance Manager in the set-up and implementation of line layouts and modifications based on engineering specifications to ensure efficient production operations. Assists in providing feedback on configurations to improve efficiencies.
Assists Maintenance Manager in maintaining inventory of spare parts and assists in determining the need to replace parts.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Three to five (3-5) years of experience in manufacturing/plant maintenance, preferably in a high-speed packaging environment
Three to five years (3-5) of experience in a lead role
Strong leadership skills, including the ability to lead and motivate others
Ability to represent the work unit/location to co-workers, clients, and/or customers
Ability to proactively establish and maintain ongoing client and customer relations
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Prefer the ability to speak English & Spanish
Ability to solve problems based on experience and acquired knowledge through minor adaptation of existing methods, procedures, or formats
Ability to work independently
Ability to read and understand operating and maintenance instructions, manuals, and schematics
