(NJ) Audio/Video On-Site Support Technician

A-V Services Inc., a leading AV company with multiple fortune 100 contracts within the financial, pharmaceutical and computing industry, seeks an Audio/Visual Technician / Multimedia Support technician for onsite support. Must have great customer service with emphasis supporting the corporate work sector. Additionally, comprehensive audio/video skills. Ideal candidate would have Associates level college degree in a technology related field and/or minimum 3 years of previous employment with AV support responsibilities in the AV industry.

Our corporation is looking for an individual who possesses a full understanding of all areas of the A/V field including but not limited to:

  • Ability to read and follow AV system flow diagrams and support documentation
  • Ability to operate and troubleshoot most AV equipment and systems, like:
  • Projection systems / display devices
  • Crestron control systems
  • Switching / routing / interfacing technology
  • Videoconferencing & Audio conferencing technologies-Cisco, WebEx, Zoom, Polycom, TMS

Key Responsibilities:

Oversees testing, maintenance, and operation of audiovisual (AV) and video conference (VTC) equipment; (e.g., audio and videoconferencing equipment, microphones, cameras, audio systems, and operation of integrated AV systems).

Provides best effort assistance to fulfill any audiovisual technical requirements as assigned.

Manage open action items, equipment maintenance, and upcoming preventive maintenance schedules.

Executes all aspects of video conference support including call set up, end user training, troubleshooting, and follow through on escalation of issues.

Provides consultation and education to all levels of end users on presentation technologies.

Troubleshoots audiovisual and videoconferencing related technology (various projectors, control systems, audio and videoconferencing).

Maintains conference room integrity.

Performs regular preventive maintenance checks

Escalates housekeeping and technical issues outside of AV and conferencing technology and applications to appropriate department.

Maintains understanding of current and new presentation technology.


  • Good working knowledge in Windows Server environments
  • Reasonable knowledge Cisco/Polycom room collaboration technologies
  • Working knowledge of Skype For Business
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Good technical and documentation skills
  • General knowledge of AV products (e.g. Crestron, AMX, Kramer, Polycom, Biamp)
  • Good knowledge of Crestron Fusion platform implementation and operations not programing
  • General knowledge of AV technologies (e.g. Dante)
  • CTS certification preferred
  • Working knowledge of Crestron Fusion Software
