What You’ll Get to Do:
As a Cyber Engineer Intern, you will partner with our Cyber Leaders to gain hands on experience within the industry. You will be focused on themes that will require you to "think like an adversary" as both an external actor and an insider risk. You will explore various topics such as: red teaming/penetration testing, creating capture the flag challenges, protocol reverse engineering, understanding adversarial TTPs, studying embedded devices and exploit prevention technologies, and more!
As an intern, you will be passionate about the cyber security industry. You will be driven to become a subject matter expert in one or many disciplines you learn over the Summer; along with being able to work with others to help mentor and supplement their knowledge in a humble way.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a degree in one of the following majors:
Computer Science, Computer Engineer, Electrical Engineer, or Cybersecurity
Maintaining at least a 3.0 GPA in major coursework. Exceptions will be made on a case by case basis depending on skills and passion.
Development experience in one or more of the following programming languages: Python, Java, C/C++, or Assembly
Minimum program commitment of 12 weeks (starting in mid to late May 2020)
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility and ability to work in a team environment
***Must be able to obtain a Security clearance
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Computer assembly languages x86, x64, PowerPC, etc.
Software disassembler tools such as IDA pro.
Low level debug tools such as OllyDbg, WinDbg, or Immunity Debugger
Micrcontroller design and assembly languages
Traditional electronics lab equipment supporting test and debug activities
Reverse engineering embedded hardware and software
Analyzing disassembled code
Hardware experience (e.g., Has built their own computer, etc.)
Is proficient with the following software packages:
Microsoft Office, Microsoft Windows, Linux, Slack, git/GitHub/GitLab, OpenVPN, VMware/VirtualBox/Xen/XenServer or other hypervisor
Familiar with Scrum or Agile project management styles
Has participated in at least one Capture the Flag (CTF) or Hack-a-thon events
