HII-Mission Driven Innovative Solutions Inc. (HII-MDIS) provides mission-critical engineering and technical service to Information Technology, Federal Civilian, and National Security, Aerospace & Defense and International government and commercial customers at over 100 locations worldwide.

HII-MDIS is currently seeking a Biological Detection System Technician 3 to work out of their Huntsville, AL office.

Technician Level 3 is a subject matter expert (SME) and responsible for all logistics, sustainment, and supply support for the Biological Integrated Detection Systems (BIDS)/Joint Biological Point Detection Systems (JBPDS) at multiple regional locations. Manages the regional maintenance facility (RMF) and has supervisory oversight of Technician Level 1 & 2 personnel. Provides on the job training to new personnel and mentors subordinate technicians and performs preventive and unscheduled maintenance, repair, operations, and supply support.

Duties and Responsibilities (to include but not be limited to the following):

Managing regional support to dispersed BIDS/JBPDS.

Managing work schedule to support sustainment activities including exercise support.

Interface with supported unit POCs.

Performing preventive maintenance, following a Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) schedule.

Evaluate equipment and system performance to identify and resolve deficiencies.

Troubleshoot, repair, and replace system Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) as necessary.

Replenish system consumables as necessary.

Manage inventories of CBRNE equipment, tools, consumables, and spare and repair parts.

Enter data into asset management system in order to track:
Logistics Response Time (LRT)


Work Orders

When required, support local, regional, and theater-wide exercises.

Host Government representatives conducting site visits and inspections.

Qualifications and Experience:
Required –

Seven (7) years' experience supporting complex systems and equipment, four (4) of which is in direction relation to the sustainment of Biological Detection Systems

Ability to sechedule and manage personnel to meet mission requirements

Maintain inventories and enter pertinent information into a Logistics Information System (LIS) such as Maximo.

Posess and maintain a US driver' license and US Passport.

Must possess and maintain a SECRET Level security clearance

Travel required.

Preferred –

All of the above but with 10 (10) years' experience supporting complex systems and equipment, five (5) of which is in direct relation to Biological Detection Systems, and three (3) of which is directly related to the BIDS/JBPDS
