The Keck School of Medicine (KSOM) of the University of Southern California (USC) and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) in the Department of Pediatrics, General Pediatrics Division are actively seeking a trained Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrician (DBP) to join our team of 8 board-certified DBPs and interdisciplinary faculty and participate in the outpatient program to assess, diagnose, and treat mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders. The Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics section has presence in a Federally Qualified Health Center (AltaMed), and two outpatient Community Mental Health Clinics. In addition to the care and treatment of patients in the outpatient program, candidates will have the opportunity to participate in clinical education; teaching a wide range of interdisciplinary trainees including medical students, pediatric residents, and DBP fellows through our MCHB-funded DBP and CA-LEND training programs. We are also members of the Autism Treatment, DBPNet, and UCEDD networks.
Candidates with training and experience in the diagnosis and continuing care of children and adolescents with a range of neurodevelopmental and behavioral conditions, including Autism spectrum disorders, developmental delays, intellectual disabilities, ADHD, learning disorders, emotional/behavioral and sleeping/feeding difficulties, among others, are preferred. Applicants should have a major interest in provision of clinical care, have excellent communication skills, enjoy teaching pediatric residents and medical students and have an interest in developing academic research.
Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics and board-certified in General Pediatrics. Additionally, applicants should hold a current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of California.
