The Future Talent Program features internships that last up to 12 weeks and will include one or more projects. These opportunities in our Research Labs can provide you with great development and a chance to see if we are the right company for your long-term goals.
Our company's Research Lab's Bioanalytical group with in Pharmacodynamics, Pharmacokinetics and Drug Metabolism Department in West Point, PA and Boston, MA is seeking summer interns. The Bioanalytic Groups at our company provide quantitative analysis of biologically derived samples for all discovery and development programs. The prospective intern in West Point, PA, will get hands-on experience with the development and qualification of a multiplex analyte capture assay in Luminex XMap platform. The perspective intern in Boston, MA, will hands-on experience with MSD and homogenous assay formats and experience in LBA method development by evaluating luminescent and fluorescent based homogenous assay formats for quantification of model drugs and possibly biomarkers. In addition to laboratory skills, the interns will have the opportunity to be engaged in scientific discussion and interpretation of data. The intern student will have an opportunity to present their research results in both oral and written formats.
Our company's Research Lab's Absorption, Distribution and Drug Metabolism (ADME) group with in Pharmacodynamics, Pharmacokinetics and Drug Metabolism Department in South San Francisco, CA and Boston, MA is also seeking summer interns. The ADME group evaluates the pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic properties of therapeutic small molecules, peptides and proteins in early discovery through drug development. The intern in South San Francisco, CA with learn and contribute to designing in vitro assays, perform and develop immunoassays and develop an understanding of basic concepts for biologics pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics (PK/PD). The intern in Boston, MA, will have the benefit of working hands on developing a model screening tool for peptide drug discovery. The intern would be trained in both biochemical and analytical methods associated with model membranes and peptide discovery, carry out incubations and quantify parent loss with UPLC-MS/MS instruments. In addition to laboratory skills, the interns will have the opportunity to analyze, interpret and present data in group meetings.
