Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions, Inc. is currently seeking a strong Senior Water Resources Engineer Seller-Doer with a proven track record of business development, client service management, and project management to help expand our existing Water Resources Business within our dynamic Nashville Water & Technology Services Branch.

Key Responsibilities

The candidate will be a member of our Client Service Team within the Water & Technology Services Branch, and the position will consist of approximately 50 percent sales and marketing and 50 percent project execution and management. The successful candidate will provide a diverse range of engineering and client management duties for water resources clients, which may include:

Providing marketing and technical expertise to grow and diversify the water resource practice in our Nashville office
Managing tasks or coordinating projects of varying size and complexity
Directing and supervising technical assignments on projects related to flood risk, recovery, and response, stormwater, dams and levees, information management, railroad and bridge hydraulics, and wastewater collection systems
Preparing and conducting technical review of reports, correspondence, and engineering calculations, and preparing technical recommendations
Identifying and defining scope, technique, price, and schedule
Maintaining effective client relations
Developing and initiating business development opportunities
Preparing proposals with limited supervision and assisting in preparation of large-scale proposals
Ensuring that QA / QC procedures are implemented within project teams
Skills / Qualifications
Minimum of 10 years of experience in water resources engineering, serving in increasingly complex positions acquiring, performing and managing water resources-related projects with full responsibility for budget, schedule, contractual obligations, client service, and quality standards
Strong, proven, and verifiable history of identifying and effectively pursuing federal, state, and/or local government clients for water resources-related opportunities
Experience in hydraulic engineering, FEMA studies, stormwater management, bridge scour, and hydraulic design including proficiency with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM, and ArcGIS
Demonstrated passion for business development and effective project management skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering or related field of study (Masters preferred)
PE certification (preferred)
Strong network of contacts with clients in the southeast U.S. in the water, government, energy, and/or industrial sectors (preferred)
