Provide Quality Control Inspection support for Honeywell Aerospace while partnering with manufacturing teams and leaders. You will ensure that quality in being maintained in all factors involved in production.
Have the skills and knowledge to interpret codes, standards, and other contractual documents that control the NDT method(s) as used by Honeywell.
Be capable of assuming technical responsibility for the NDT facility and staff.
Be capable of selecting the method and technique for a specific inspection.
Be capable of preparing and verifying the adequacy of procedures and work instructions.
Approve NDT procedures and work instructions for technical adequacy.
Have a general knowledge of other NDT methods and product manufacturing and inspection technologies used by Honeywell.
Be capable of providing or directing training, examination, and certification of personnel.
Conduct NDT for the acceptance of parts and document the results if a demonstration of proficiency in this ability was included in the practical examination.
Be capable of auditing outside agencies to ensure the requirements of this manual are met, (if applicable).
Comply with the latest revision of NDE-001.
Incorporate amendments/revisions of NDE-001 within 30 days of release.
Maintain site NDT procedures and work instructions.
Prepare for the Network audit, assure audit scope and audit contact in eAuditNet is correct.
Assure NDT suppliers used by the site are approved.
Create and administer the written examinations for the sites NDT inspectors.
Create and document practical test pieces for all methods and techniques used at the site.
Maintain site NDT personal roster.
Submit monthly MOR to RL3.
Perform self-audit and submit audit package.
Administer annual proficiencies.
Create procedure and review NDT calibration certificates.
Willing to mentor and training other level I or level II NDT representatives.
This position typically interacts with customers, FAA, DCMA, Nadcap, and Honeywell management. They need good communication and technical writing skills. In addition, the decisions they make can have a major impact on our business. This position is basically the NDT "Leader" that provides training, testing, and certification to the NDT department. They also determine the type of equipment and other resources necessary to properly perform the applicable inspections. They are the "go to" person that provides answers when difficult or complex situations arise during the day to day activities of the NDT department.
All applicants for placement in DOT/FAA safety-sensitive positions will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug test, testing for Marijuana, Cocaine, Amphetamines (amphetamine, methamphetamine, MDMA, MDA), Phencyclidine (PCP), and Opioids (codeine, heroin, morphine, oxycodone, oxymorphone, hydrocodone, hydromorphone). The DOT/FAA regulations require all employees, regular and temporary, in safety-sensitive positions, to be included in the Honeywell Anti-drug and Alcohol Misuse Prevention Plan.

High School Diploma or GED
Must have Magnetic Particle Testing Certification Level II
Must have Penetrant Testing Certification Level II
Associate or Bachelor Degree in scientific field
Familiar with the NADCAP audit process
Knowledge of standard concepts, practices and procedures in quality control inspection field
Good analytical and creative problem solving skills
Ability to use tools and techniques to perform tests
May train and lead less experienced technicians
Experience in performing non-destructive tests, documentation of tests
Ability to read technical data and specifications
