POSITION SUMMARY:
This position provides support to our Chief Financial Officer with the day-to-day finance and accounting tasks at the home office. The position requires solid accounting experience combined with strong analytical skills. The candidate will be someone who is self-starting, energetic, focused with ever increasing responsibility and challenge. This Staff Accountant position will be a valuable role that helps support our mission of improving the health and economic vitality of the communities we serve.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Billing/invoicing multiple clients in accordance with contractual terms for work performed and reimbursable expenses
Prepare client invoices including maintaining system of matching travel expenses and follow through on all policies and procedures
General Ledger coding credit card statement(s) according to policy and procedure and importing data into General Ledger
Follow through on accounts receivable collection policy and procedures
Preparation of periodic reports on collections, invoicing and others as requested by Chief Financial Officer
Preparation and submission of daily bank deposits
Maintenance and oversight of Certify travel and expense reimbursement and reporting
Various other accounting projects as directed by Chief Financial Officer

QUALIFICATIONS:
Proficient with QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online
An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience, as well as knowledge of bookkeeping and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
Minimum of five (5) years experience including general accounting, accounts payable, month-end close, and payroll processing
Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism
Ability to operate a calculator, computer, and other general office equipment
Knowledge of regulatory requirements of processing payroll accounting transactions and payroll returns
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing, in English
Must be able to keep client and company matters and information strictly confidential
Must have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Proficient with MS Excel, Outlook and Word
