We are seeking an Assistant Property Manager in Staten Island NY. Approximately 200 units between 2 sites.

The Assistant Property Manager will be responsible, under the direction of the Property Manager, for assisting with the overall management of the operation. Above all else, the spirit of teamwork and cooperation with other team members will not only improve the job you do but enhance the entire work experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Answer phones and greet tenants in a professional manner.
  • Send all notices 120, 90, 60, 30 days in a timely manner– make copies for file of all letters sent out.
  • After tenant comes in make sure you fax/mail all verifications right away.
  • Keep track of all verification's, file them as received and check file at least 1 a week for follow up in order to send out 2nd and final notices for verification's.
  • Once received enter in onesite and give to super.
  • If outside vendor needs to be contacted let the manager know ASAP.
  • Keep track of the cure date as we must submit completion a few days before, or ask for an extension.
  • Once completed and signed by tenant/super we must email/fax it to the S/8 agency and keep records of it.

Qualifications for this Position

  • High school education or equivalent
  • Monday - Friday 9 am -5 pm
  • Must have excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Property Management experience preferred
  • Strong communication, organizational and literacy in writing skills
  • Experience working with contracts and construction documents preferred
  • Experience with OneSite software preferred
