Valor Health Plan is a Medicare Advantage Plan that focuses on long term care residents. Sales activities related to enrollment into Valor Health Plan providing full disclosure, and in compliance with corporate policy and procedure. This position provides assistance in the development of strategic plan, budgets, forecast and execution of these goals. Responsible for management of external education material inclusive of health education, special events, sales material, and general communications. Licensed sales representatives will only enroll beneficiaries currently living in a nursing home setting. Sales representatives will confirm demographic and entitlement information. Valor will support and reimburse license expenses.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for maintaining sales license
- Oversee sales activities within defined service area
- Responsible for maintaining and supporting relationships with facility leadership
- Provides input for the development of required materials such as specialized letters, brochures, and posters.
- Manages sales in a compliant manner utilizing a defined territory model to maximize new enrollments and member retention.
- Completes submission and verification of enrollment forms, member issues, commission payouts, representative evaluations, and training.
- Works with the Sales and Marketing Director to develop and manage the corporate sales efforts including the definition of corporate identity materials.
- Ensure accurate and updated member information is available for inclusion on the website
- Provides input into enrollment projections based on expected impact of sales strategies.
- Implement sales action plan
- Meet monthly targeted enrollment goals
- Maintain Skilled Nursing Facility relations and systems for compliantly meeting with potential enrollees
- Maintain communication with referral sources to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Participate in Sales/Operations meetings with VP of Managed Care and Sales and Marketing Director to review sales activity, potential problems and new opportunities.
- Files completed paperwork into the appropriate system
- Verifies Medicare and Medicaid benefits
- Flexibility to meet potential enrollees and family members at times and locations convenient for them
- Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and CMS regulatory requirements
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with current and potential referral sources.
- In addition to essential position functions listed above, this position would perform other duties as directed by their immediate supervisor.

EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred.
- 3 or more years’ sales experience working in a health care environment; preferably an HMO/PPO and in an MA environment preferred.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
- Must have a working knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid programs.
- Must possess necessary license to sell insurance in Ohio
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must be willing to travel as needed within service area and contracted provider locations
JOB KNOWLEDGE:
- Basic knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid Regulations
- Understanding of the healthcare delivery system
