The Paralegal will assist civil defense attorneys in the course of their work. Candidates should be familiar with analyzing claim files and records, preparing for hearings, preparing exhibits, pleadings, and discovery, handling case management, file organization, investigations, research and trial support and have knowledge in litigation software programs.
Essential Functions
- Reviews, organizes and summarizes reports and other case materials.
- Prepares routine or complex legal documents for review by attorneys.
- Drafts pleadings, subpoenas, discovery requests and responses, correspondence, interrogatories/answers, and other legal documents.
- Assists in deposition preparation, pre-trial investigations, trial preparation, including assistance with preparation of witnesses for deposition and/or trial.
- Prepares depositions and trial binders.
- Prepare exhibits and other demonstrative evidence for use at trial.
- Drafts settlement agreements.
- Provide assistance at trial.

Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) and 2 years of paralegal experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Software requirements:
- General knowledge of all Microsoft suites.
- The ability and experience to conduct proper research on WestLaw
This is a full-time in office position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
