ShalePro Energy Services, LLC is searching to fill the position of a Full-Time Entry Level Field Safety Representative based out of our Waynesburg, PA office.
ShalePro Energy Services, LLC is a natural gas service company. ShalePro Energy Services offers a full suite of best-in-class oil and natural gas field services spanning the Appalachian Basin - Marcellus/Utica shale play, as well as other basins across the US. We have more than 24 years of production and midstream industry experience and currently provide well pad and compressor site construction services, well hook-up services, well tending services, compressor operating services, gathering line services, and various other field services.
Job Summary
A Safety representative tracks and documents accidents to understand causes and recommend changes to prevent future accidents. Performs inspections and audits of facilities, equipment and processes recommending corrections or additional precautions to ensure compliance to established regulations.
Responsibilities and Duties
Support the development of OHS policies and programs
Research best practices from our clients and see how we may be able to fit that into our safety program.
Attend industry safety training classes to further knowledge and receive certifications.
Advise and instruct on various safety-related topics
Attend and lead all safety meetings being held in Clarksburg office within pipeline, construction and compressor groups.
Safety topics should be relevant to the operations you are addressing and done on a weekly basis.
Attend all client safety meetings virtually or in person if approved weekly, bi-weekly or monthly depending on client schedule.
Manage the fiscal health of the safety department as it pertains to your area
Work with the AP and Operations teams to get the best pricing for any needed supplies.
Build relationships with safety vendors to help keep safety supplies prices competitive
Plan, maintain and enforce safety procedures, policies and update as needed with industry changes
Reviewing MSDS books to ensure updated for work being performed
Working with operation teams to update standard operating procedures (SOP)
Conduct risk assessment and enforce preventative measures.
Perform job site analysis by doing weekly audits within compressor, pipeline and construction operations.
Field audits need turned in by the next morning after has been performed.
Evaluate and discuss safety performance with employees and management.
Determine employee exposure and provide solutions to reduce risk.
Stop any unsafe acts or process that seems dangerous or unhealthy.
Initiate and organize OHS training and development of employees and executives (New Hire, Client specific and Annual)

Gas Awareness (H2S)
First Aid/CPR
Short Service Employee (SSE)
Etc..
Lead, record and investigate incidents to determine causes and work with HR to handle worker’s compensation claims.
Safety Representative is required to be in route heading to site as soon as incident has been reported that has potential to be loss time, recordable or is deemed necessary.
Notify VP and operations manager then client as soon as we are made aware and starting our investigation.
Case management of incident should be completed by safety representative with timely communication being provided to end client.
Communicate regularly with VP along with other designated contacts within company
Prepare reports that provide statistical information to upper management and operations teams.
Provide weekly updates on Monday of all incidents (Vehicle, Employee, Equipment, etc.…)
Provide each Monday that current weeks schedule as far as safety meetings and field visits
Update on current safety ratings weekly
Near Miss updates provided first Monday of each month. This should also include any service lines that aren’t reporting them as directed
