POSITION SUMMARY

The Human Resources Assistant’s primary duties include supporting the Human Resources Department by learning Human Resources processes and providing administrative support. A key component for the position will be to have an open and friendly attitude while tackling projects and interacting with employees. This position reports directly to the Senior Human Resources Manager. This is a part-time position that is located in Woburn, MA.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with creating training presentations
  • Conduct screenings with potential candidates
  • Create job postings
  • Track applicants
  • Ensure that handbooks are distributed to and signed by all employees
  • Update job descriptions
  • Successfully guide new employees through the onboarding process by assisting them with paperwork, tours of the facilities and orientations.
  • Create employee profiles in the Company HRIS
  • Conduct an audit of all employee files
  • Separate all terminated employee files and properly file them
  • Create spreadsheets
  • Administer employee benefits
  • Brainstorm ideas for employee morale
  • Partner with Managers to successfully roll out new Human Resources initiatives
  • Conduct employment verification's
  • Create weekly reports
  • Answer phones
  • Communicate messages to the team
  • Complete special projects assigned by the Senior Human Resources Manager
  • Provide support to all other company team members, as needed
  • Perform other duties, as needed
SKILLS AND QUALIFICIATIONS

  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and manage workload imbalance
  • Ability to work independently as well as in groups
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Friendly and positive attitude
  • Reliable transportation
  • Fluency in Spanish would be a huge plus but is not required
