As a member of BCU’s Senior Management Team, provide leadership, workforce planning, and strategic development of the human capital of the organization. Balance strategic direction with implementation and operational excellence in the development and delivery of talent management, leadership and employee development initiatives. Lead a functional team of talent management professionals dedicated to the performance and development needs of the organization and its employees. Role model BCU’s Shared Values of Integrity, Courage, Collaboration and Wow.
Provide strategic talent thought leadership and business partnership to the CEO, CHRO, Executive Leadership Team and Senior Management Team.
Design and execute scalable, organization-wide development initiatives in strategic learning & development, culture, performance improvement, change leadership, and knowledge management that enable employee skill development to deliver BCU business and growth strategy.
Act as in-house Executive Coach and trusted advisor to BCU’s SMT and other key leaders.
Manage external coaching vendor relationships and integrate internal/external coaching efforts to ensure alignment and long-term leadership development success.
Develop and deploy organizational learning, development, and other programs that support the organization’s strategies and align with BCU’s strengths-based learning approach and Shared Values.
Facilitate and ensure comprehensive integration and linkage of BCU talent processes, such as Talent Review & Planning, Succession Planning, Performance Coaching, Development Planning, Onboarding, Organizational Design, and Executive Coaching and Mentoring.
Manage the operations and finances of the Talent Management Department to demonstrate commitment to the organization’s goals.
Through internal content development and marshalling external resources, advise and direct the design, development and implementation of BCU’s Learning & Development curriculum, including accountability for instructional design and the learning management system.
Improve and maintain organizational and individual performance by achieving a proactive understanding of business needs.
Design programs and initiatives to enhance and leverage organizational capabilities and fill gaps, including but not limited to leadership training, teambuilding, change management, and coaching.
Establish and maintain a strong departmental consulting relationship with key internal business leaders.
Partner with business leaders to forecast learning needs and resources including budget for new and sustained training.
Act as key deputy to CHRO; partner effectively with and provide guidance and support to other HR functional areas, such as HR generalists, Talent Acquisition, Compensation and HRIS.
Provide regular reports, dashboards and metrics to BCU managers and executive team.
Utilize measurement and reporting systems to evaluate the quality, quantity and appropriateness of the design and delivery of all programs and initiatives.
Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Bachelor's Degree required. Master's Degree in HR, Organizational Development, or Learning & Organizational Change preferred.
Minimum 10 years of relevant business experience and proven success in areas including leadership development and organizational development.
Minimum 5+ years of experience leading teams at an executive level.
Strong interpersonal, conflict management, written and verbal communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to influence, build trust in relationships and coach/mentor at the senior management level
Ability to interact with all levels of employees and external business partners, including vendors.
Excellent presentation and group facilitation skills.
