The Boeing Company is recruiting for Occupational Health and Safety Specialists (Mid-Level) to join the Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) Organization in Auburn Washington.
This position is with the Auburn Site EHS team and will directly interface with manufacturing teams to address health and safety concerns.
Serve as a single point of contact for Environment, Health and Safety concerns or issues.
Develops and leads training and instructions
Interprets and advises on the impact of emerging issues, regulations and legislation to company operations
Evaluates and provides selection advice on existing or emergent risk management control technologies
Utilizes and analyzes injury data to develop, projects, plans and programs to address risk identified in the organization
Develop and drive strategy and tactics to improve safety performance
Leads audits, inspections and investigations and coordinates resolution of issues
Develops corrective action plan to respond to internal/external audits and inspections
Works with management to facilitate risk management decisions
Analyzes emerging manufacturing technology in order to identify hazards and recommend control methods
Act as a steward of Incident and Injury free safety culture at the Boeing Company
Build strong relationships with business partners to achieve great results
Business related travel 10% of the time

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
Bachelor's Degree or higher. A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study.
3 or more years’ experience in Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS)
Experience conducting root cause investigation
Experience in managing occupational health related programs
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
Experience creating safety plans in a manufacturing environment to reduce injuries and eliminate risk
Experience in Lean based systems and structured problem solving activities
Associate or Certified Safety Professional Status
Technical bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' or a PhD degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study. An equivalent amount of relevant experience can be substituted for education status.
