Oversees the hematology department, which includes Hematology, Coagulation and Urinalysis. Precisely and accurately performs and evaluates a variety of technical procedures. Supervises all full and part-time personnel while working in the hematology department. Is responsible for the efficient, effective, and accurate operation of the hematology lab. Utilizes accepted quality control techniques, and monitors all quality standards for the department.
Associate degree required. Bachelor of Science preferred
Minimum of five years experience in a medical laboratory required. Hematology experience required.
Certifications / Licenses:
Successful completion of the American Society of Clinical Pathology Medical Technology or Specialist in Hematology certification examination or equivalent.
