Family Law Firm - seeking a Full-Time Paralegal/Legal Assistant
The candidate will be responsible for the case work support, drafting of pleadings, monitoring of cases, preparing for court appearances, case organization, discovery, e-filing in multi jurisdictions, client interaction and calendaring.
The Candidate must have the ability to prioritize and work independently with strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Daily Duties will include:
· Assist with deposition preparation
· Liaison between the client and attorney;
· Assist with trial preparation
· Ability to independently process all written discovery
Candidate must possess 1-2 years of family law experience. In addition, the candidate must have interpersonal skills, excellent writing and proofreading skills, knowledge of Local and State rules of court and filing procedures, familiarity with e-filing and proficiency in Adobe and Microsoft Office Programs. Experience with case-management software required. Experience with MyCase preferred.
