Job Summary:
The Extraction Technician supports in processing and extracting medical marijuana in the Lab. They are responsible for following SOPs that fully comply with state medical marijuana regulations. These practices will consist of but are not limited to manufacturing, storing, maintaining of equipment and materials that are necessary to run a world-class extraction lab. This role is responsible for purification, separation, and isolation of various compounds of cannabis. As well as maintaining inventory, recordkeeping, and quality of product throughout the process flow.
Responsibilities

Batching and Mixing Troche Batches: Accurately weigh and mix ingredients needed to produce troches.

Cooking Troches: Timing of cooking troche batches to ensure the product meets standards of production.

Demolding Finished Troches: Carefully remove finished troches from molds, ensuring their quality and integrity.

Setting Up Troche Depositors: Prepare and adjust troche depositors for production runs, ensuring proper configuration and functionality.

Cleaning and Maintenance: Perform thorough cleaning and maintenance of tools and equipment, adhering to strict sanitation protocols.
-
Weighing and Documenting Troche Weights: Accurately measure and record troche weights as part of quality control procedures.

Adherence to SOPs and Quality Standards: Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) meticulously and uphold the lab's quality standards in all tasks.

Extraction Process Support: Assist in overseeing the extraction process and ensure the lab abides by all protocols and regulations.

Quality Assurance: Review lab checklists daily and perform quality assurance tasks.

Equipment Operation: Operate laboratory instruments, make observations, calculate, and record results.

Inventory and Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate notebooks and logbooks, manage inventory records, and ensure the quality of products throughout the process flow.

Collaboration: Work closely with the Troche Lab Manager and support cross-functional team needs to meet production schedules.

Working on scaffolding and ladders as well as tight spaces low and off the floor

Requirements:

Ability to be flexible and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

High attention to detail and personal and professional accountability

High School diploma or General Equivalency Degree (GED)

Valid driver’s license

Able to pass all background checks/fingerprinting as required by state cannabis agencies

Good housekeeping and attention to detail.

Understanding of kitchen etiquette, particularly cleanliness, and sanitation.

Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.

Familiarity with basic mechanical skills is beneficial.
