OBJECTIVE:
Under limited supervision, coordinates ad-hoc sales activities such as timely submission of quotes, order management, on-time shipping of products and related after-sales activities. Providing necessary support to manage contractual business. Grow the assigned customers’ revenue and product gross margin in accordance with (or in excess of) the defined sales goals and maintain highest quality and service standards.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Quotations - day-to-day operations for stock and non-stock items: includes, but is not limited to: sourcing, quoting, up-selling and offering new product lines; Capturing of quote activity; Systematic follow-up of quoted items with the customer and measurement of quote-to-order ratio; liaise with the Program Manager/Group Program Manager to provide necessary support for LTA requests
Order administration - Contract review, order entry and acknowledgement to customer; Forward-looking order book review / manage shipment schedules / follow-up and expediting actions internally and with vendors when required; Shipping and logistics support; Contract administration (where applicable): Mitigate margin erosion, ensure inventory pipeline health and that contract-related KPIs are met; Monitor customer-relevant performance data and drive continuous improvement; respond to customer-supplied data
Discrepancies / Return material - Verification of customer claims with functional departments (Accounting, Quality Assurance, Operations, etc.); Handling of Return Material Authorizations (RMA) and efficient defect management with the customer; Implementation, follow-up and report-out of corrective actions towards Sales Manager and customer
Business Development and Communication - Maintain and create a professional relationship with assigned customers; Work closely with strategic account leadership and other functions to identify new business opportunities; support large contract proposals, attain defined service levels, etc. ensuring submission of competitive bids; Drive all actions to achieve the monthly, quarterly and annual revenue and margin goals; Identify opportunities for new product & services supplies such as tooling, lighting and other commodities as applicable
Support leadership to establish strategic business plans - Support strategic account leadership constructing a full profile of customer's overall corporate strategy, operating priorities, and major marketing initiatives/timetables; Help to obtain and forward useful competitive intelligence; Understand key elements of relevant supplier measurement programs maintains detailed knowledge of the company’s products and value added services; Assist KLX management to formulate, implement and execute account strategies and marketing plans
Performs other duties as assigned

Required Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Related field of study
4-6 year's of related work experience
Experience in aerospace hardware sales and/or customer service
Knowledge of the aerospace/aviation industry
Outstanding communication skills, verbal and written
Proficiency in numeric reasoning and mathematical skills
Proficient knowledge in all MS office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.) applications
Able to think and act strategically
