Has primary responsibility for the environmental Safety & Security management functions as specified by the Network Director of Safety & Security for the Sacred Heart Campus. This position has the authority to select and manage the performance of the security team and has leadership responsibility for the management of the physical environment program.
Responsible for leading the safety and security functions for the Sacred Heart Campus. Maintains satisfactory knowledge of safety and security healthcare industry regulations and standards including Joint Commission, PADOH and NFPA.
Schedules security officers to provide adequate coverage of all shifts based on ongoing risk assessment activity including special events, holidays, seasonal activities and weekends.
Selects and maintains security equipment and technology including card access, cameras and alarms.
Responsibility manages the departmental budget and staff payroll.
Collects and safety and security data. Recommends performance improvement initiatives.
Ensures staff completes all required training.
Designs security response plans to meet the unique needs of the Sacred Heart Campus.
Ensures preventative maintenance and testing is performed on all security equipment including cameras, alarms, communication and patrol vehicle.
Chairs the Campus Physical Environment Safety Committee and executes the Joint Commission
Environmental Management Plans.
Provides a liaison will the Allentown Police Department.
Responds to emergency situations including external mass casualty incidents and internal disasters including evacuations and hazardous material emergencies.
Responsible for conducting fire drills and maintaining documentation.
Maintains confidentiality of all materials handled within the Network and Campus, as well as the proper release of information.
Demonstrates financial responsibility and accountability through the effective and efficient use of resources in daily activities.
Complies with Network and departmental policies regarding attendance and dress code
Performs other duties as deemed necessary by the Network Director of Safety & Security
