Job Title: Benefits Coordinator

HMG is also a founding member of the ET&D Partnership, a collaborative industry partnership working to reduce fatalities, injuries, and illnesses in the electric line construction industry is currently seeking a Benefits Coordinator. The Benefits Coordinator will administer Henkels & McCoy's Leave of Absence and Wellness programs.

Responsibilities:
Oversees and tracks Leave of Absence process ensuring Company policies & procedures are being followed and compliant with Federal and State leave laws including but not limited to FMLA/USERRA.
Researches new state law changes and makes recommendations on implementation and compliance.
Coordinates all communications to employees and counsels managers. Recommends changes to policies and procedures.
Acts as primary interface with disability insurance providers and State agencies.
Partners with Workers Compensation administrators to ensure proper FMLA notices are issued.
Wellness committee chair and secretary schedules, meetings, documents minutes and follows up with sub committees
Implements wellness related activities, such as but not limited to, scheduling onsite activities, flu clinics, biometrics and coordinating vendor visits across all regions.
Keep up-to-date of current national wellness trends, developing a network of resources to use as appropriate.
Explore ideas and opportunities to personalize the wellness program to increase employee participation.
Participates in meetings with Broker, Providers and Vendors
Assists with Annual Open Enrollment
Back up to Benefits Analyst in areas of 401k administration

Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in HR or a related field preferred.
2-3 years’ experience in a variety of Benefits Administration and/or Human Resource areas, especially leave of absence.
Knowledge of all applicable federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements including FMLA, USERRA, ADA, ERISA, COBRA, PPACA, Section 125, DOL and other State requirements.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects at one time under deadlines.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Preferred
PHR or other certification
