Position Overview

Boutique public relations (PR) agency is looking for self-starting, independently motivated individual to join the team.

We are looking for results driven, highly professional individuals for a full-time, salaried position.

Applicants must have a minimum of 5 - 7 years’ PR agency or in-house corporate PR experience and the IT security, financial services or mobile technology sectors. Candidates must demonstrate a history of successful media outreach, have impeccable writing skills and previous client management experience.

MIX Public Relations a virtual office so you must be able to manage your time wisely and understand the telecommuting environment, as you will be working from home. This means you have the ability to be clear/articulate on conference calls without background noise and present a professional work environment to clients and colleagues during business hours. You will need to work at a computer and on the phone for the duration of the workday without interruption.

Please note that this is not an entry-level position and only applicants with previous PR experience (agency or in-house) will be considered. Writing samples and examples of successful/recent media outreach will be expected to move forward in the process.


  • Execute successful media relations campaigns at both local and national levels
  • Manage media inquiries and interview requests
  • Create content for press releases, byline articles and keynote presentations
  • Perpetuate a keen understandings of industry trends affecting clients and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them
  • Maintain exceptional writing and editing skills and consistently deliver pristine client-ready content
  • Arrange client meetings and prepare agendas/briefings in advance
  • Support clients to execute a flawless event experiences
  • Advise clients on social media engagement
  • Act as a champion for clients’ award and speaking programs
  • Develop error-free client correspondence and reports based on monitoring of trends, media/social media coverage, etc.
  • Monitor, analyze and communicate PR results on a quarterly basis
  • Write and edit agency’s internal collateral
  • Manage MIX social media channels
  • Create and oversee editorial calendar of public relations awards applicable to MIX
  • Manage vendors
  • Assist with new business research and pitches
