Job Overview
Advocate Health Advisors is actively seeking an experienced Human Resources professional to join our team as an Employer Group Coordinator. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in facilitating the migration of seniors from core employer group plans to Medicare Advantage plans. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting current and potential employer groups in the selection, implementation, and administration of Medicare Advantage plans for retirees.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct consultations with employer groups to understand their retiree benefit needs.
- Educate employer groups and their retirees including Medicare, Medicare Advantage, and Medicare Supplement plan options and benefits.
- Advise clients on the advantages of transitioning seniors to Medicare Advantage plans.
- Travel to state conferences and tradeshows to represent Advocate Health Advisors to effectively brand Advocate as the go-to resource for transitioning seniors to Medicare Advantage plans.
- Experience with human resources platforms such as SHRM, AIHR, and others.
- Ability to establish and/or develop strong carrier relationships to drive national, regional, and local opportunities in the employer group space.
- Train and educate regional teams to further develop opportunities in the employer group marketplace.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
- Works with internal teams to develop effective marketing materials, tools, and resources.
- Build business plans to increase and gain opportunities in the employer group market.
- Ability to analyze and understand employer group needs and tailor solutions accordingly.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resources, or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience in employee benefits administration or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of insurance products, retirement plans, and healthcare benefits.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with developing and delivering engaging presentations.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret employer group data and trends to develop effective business solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in the Medicare industry, with a focus on Employer Group plans.
- A strong understanding of the Medicare industry regulations and compliance requirements.
- Hold an active Life & Health insurance license or obtain it within 90 days of employment.
