Rockstar Games is seeking a PR Coordinator to assist our global team in our New York City headquarters. This position will be responsible for maintaining Rockstar Games’ PR database of contacts, and assisting in the development and implementation of communications plans. The successful candidate will interact closely with various inter-company departments both locally and internationally during the execution of PR plans, so outstanding organization and communication skills are a prerequisite.
Maintain a detailed press archive.
Monitor and analyze daily press coverage.
Organize and manage press events, press tours, and schedules.
Maintain a detailed asset schedule and keep track of distribution.
Field incoming Public Relations requests and distribute to appropriate parties.
Demo games to external parties.
Manage mailings of press and game releases.
Actively maintain and develop media relations.
Bachelor’s Degree in Media, PR, or relevant Liberal Arts.
2+ years’ experience in a PR or Marketing role.
Thorough understanding and appreciation of games, games industry, youth culture and media is essential.
Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to successfully interact with internal peers (Product Development, Product Management, Sales) and senior management, as well as vendors and outside agencies.
Ability to prioritize assignments in order to anticipate and meet multiple deadlines.
Detail- and results-oriented self-starter with disciplined workflow practices.
