JOB INFORMATION

Under limited supervision, design and administer procedures in the organization that sustain the security of the organization's data and access to its technology and communications systems. Assess risk of exposure of proprietary data through weaknesses in platforms, access procedures, and forms of access to the organization's systems and the data contained in them. Track security violations and identify trends or exposures that could be addressed by additional training, technical measures, or use of application tools to enhance security. May lead or execute simulated attacks or security violations to assess the organization's data security measures.

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS

Strong programming experience with Python, SQL, Joins, PL/SQL, and Oracle databases. Experience with handling large volume of data in real-time, Big Data and AWS EMR.
Create data models, perform ETLs, and validate results with business representatives
Support implemented BI solutions by monitoring and tuning queries and data loads, addressing user questions concerning data integrity, monitoring performance, and communicating functional and technical issues.
Participate in internal reviews by auditors, operational risk assessment staff, or compliance/reporting staff to prepare assessments or reports of operational risks associated with IT/IS infrastructure, access to systems, exposure to attacks, etc.
Participate in developing and testing of new methodologies and systems for recovery of the critical core business processes and the enterprise infrastructure.
Review commercial products available to enhance corporate hardware, platforms, applications and data. May test or evaluate products under consideration for purchase or licensing.
EDUCATION

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

2+ years of related experience
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Must have over 5 years of SQL, Joins, PL/SQL and Oracle Databases
Must have over 5 years of professional experience with querying and reporting on structure and unstructured data.
Must have over 5 years of creating data models, perform ETLs and validate results with customers.
Must be able to analyze, design and implement User Interface including reports and dashboards.
Must have over 5 years of experience with Microsoft Excel data analysis functions.
Must have over 5 years of a proven track record of analytical professional experience.
Must have over 3 years of Python handling large volumes of data and working with real-time data.
Must possess ability to critically think and be able to apply objective analysis of facts on given topic or problem.
Must possess ability to understand business problem and be able to “model” or “abstract” what is critical to solve the problem.
Must have over 5 years of experience with supporting BI solutions that include monitoring and tuning queries and data loads, addressing user questions concerning data integrity, monitoring performance and communicating functional and technical issues.
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge and experience with AWS EMR services.
Knowledge and experience with Big Data technologies.
