What we’re looking for
We're in search of traveling framers, a rare breed of voyagers who traverse the Midwest, crafting wooden structures at various job sites. As a traveling framer, you'll be responsible for all carpentry tasks, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. We welcome applicants with a strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence, ready to perform their best work every day. No carpentry experience needed, just the wiliness to learn and work in a high tempo environment.
Major expectations & accountabilities
- Maintain personal safety and ensure operations allow for the safety of others.
- General carpentry framing with wood and steel studs: ie: walls, stairs, roofs and floors.
- Inspection and operation of hand and power tools, aerial equipment, skid steers and forklifts.
- Observing and enforcing utilization of all safety equipment following requirements of Greystone, OSHA and the Client.
- Maintain a clean and safe job site.
- Ability to comprehend and follow complex direction.
- Determine the kind of tools and equipment needed to complete each task assignment.

- Ability to travel to job sites as required.
- Results-orientated with proven ability to organize, plan and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
- Ability to read and comprehend blueprints.
- Able to apply sound judgment and problem-solving skills to projects and challenge.
- Knowledge of acceptable construction site practices including occupational safety and health regulations.
Qualifications that can set you apart
- Previous carpentry experience.
- Five of more years of experience working in a Framing team.
- Ability to lead the crew for short durations in absence of the foreman.
- Having a strong understanding of safety protocols on-site.
- Having a two year trade school in construction.
