Full Job Description
Mid-level position in the area of transportation/transit planning, environmental planning and documentation, community planning, land use planning and associated specialties. Position will work on different types of projects for various clients.
Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in urban planning or related field required. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity and skill with GIS software package
General Duties & Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Independently performs most assignments with instructions from Project Manager, Senior Planners, or Project Engineers as to the general results expected.
Conduct research and documentation comprised of the initial phases of the various project tasks.
Gather and analyze data to present materials such as graphics and maps.
Work as part of the team to visualize solution concepts and assist in preparing recommendations and alternatives.
Compile and analyze data on site conditions, compliance reviews and facilitation and implementation of programs and services required by federal, state and local legislation.
Prepares grant applications, organizes contract submittals and agreements, provides information on various funding resources
Attends and participates in internal team meetings and applies manager’s feedback when making project revisions.
Participate in onsite inspections, public and stakeholder meetings, inventorying and documentation of existing site conditions.

The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet, however, when traveling to the client site, noise level can be loud.

Due to Covid restrictions, this position will be required to perform their work in a hybrid situation; i.e. work at home for part of the week and work in the office for a minimum of 2 days/week.
