Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring a cohesive and productive team environment.
- Coordinate food orders and oversee food preparation and cooking processes.
- Monitor food plating and temperature to maintain quality standards.
- Maintain portion sizes and ensure consistency in food presentation.
- Schedule cooks and other kitchen staff shifts efficiently to meet operational demands.
- Collaborate with the Culinary Operations Manager to assist in menu pricing.
- Order food supplies and address kitchen equipment needs.
- Train kitchen staff on proper prep work and food plating techniques.
- Adhere to safety practices and store food products in compliance with regulations.
- Assist in generating weekly and monthly food cost reports.
- Uphold sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen area.
- Ensure that all dishes are properly cooked, presented, and served to create a memorable dining experience.
- Strive to exceed guest expectations and promptly address any concerns or issues.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Kitchen Manager, Kitchen Supervisor or Head Chef.
- Proficiency in ordering, vendor communication, and monthly inventory management.
- Familiarity with kitchen sanitation and safety regulations.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
- Flexibility in work schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Food Service management certification.
- Certification from a culinary school or a degree in Restaurant Management is a plus.
