JOB CAPTAIN

WITH PUBLIC SCHOOL AND COMMERCIAL EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor or Master degree from an accredited school of Architecture.
  • 5+ years of work experience in an architectural firm.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, including verbal, written, and graphics.
  • Design and production experience, from conceptual design through contract documents.
  • Plans and develops projects of medium to large scope.
  • Willing to learn/contribute to management of all aspects of projects, including all design phases, consultant coordination, knowledge of the California Building Code.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and individually.
  • Ability to assist Project Architect in developing project documents from design thru construction.
  • Ability to contribute to design discussions and good time management.
  • Software proficiency including Revit, Sketchup, Bluebeam. Experience with graphic programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Rhino and Indesign are a plus.
  • Experience in K-12 and community colleges a plus.
  • Eligible to work in the US.

PROJECT ARCHITECT / PROJECT MANAGER

WITH PUBLIC SCHOOL AND COMMERCIAL EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor or Master degree from an accredited school of Architecture.
  • 10+ years experience managing K-12, multi-family and mixed-use projects.
  • Design and production experience, from conceptual design through contract documents and construction administration.
  • Plans and develops projects of medium to large scope and works under minimal supervision.
  • Oversee staff of architects and designers.
  • Responsible for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating assignments.
  • Involves exploration of subject area, definition of scope, selection of items for investigation, and development of novel concepts and methods.
  • Ability to manage and track client expectations
  • Ability to track and maintain project schedules.
  • Working knowledge of California Building Codes, Type VA/ VB & IIIA construction types, ADA, and Title 24.
  • Able to communicate effectively with strong verbal skills.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office and Bluebeam. Revit preferred. Experience with graphic programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Rhino, Revit and SketchUp are a plus.
  • Licensed Architect and/or Structural Engineer and Accredited Degree in Architecture desired.
  • Eligible to work in the US.
